Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!

On behalf of the Byars Dowdy staff, I would like to welcome everyone to Byars Dowdy Elementary School!  It is a privilege to serve as principal of this wonderful school!  This school year our theme is "On Fire" or "En Fuego."

We are committed to sparking student interest so that that spark can spread and ignite a passion for learning inside each and every student. We are dedicated to a student-centered program that promotes academic excellence through an enriched, rigorous, hands-on curriculum.

We have a staff at Byars Dowdy that is second to none! Our staff works tirelessly each and every day for the benefit of our students. We pride ourselves in being a place where our mission is to ensure every child’s potential is achieved both academically and socially. 

Together we form a strong partnership to ensure that all Byars Dowdy students receive an exceptional education.
