About Us

Welcome to the Lebanon Special School District. Our district serves over 4,100 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth grade. Our school system is served by over 615 dedicated men and women who are “Committed to a Community of Excellence” for all of our students.

LSSD Schools Closed Thursday, May 9.

Community Resource Event

On May 18, 2024 beginning at 8:00 A.M., there will be a community food giveaway at the Cumberland University Football Field parking area. This resource will be FREE to the first 150 families.

About Us

The Lebanon Special School District’s mission is “committed to a community of excellence”. The district provides instruction for pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, as well as, services for children qualifying for special education. The Lebanon Special School District of Wilson County, Tennessee, was established by a special act of the Tennessee General Assembly in 1901. Originally, the school district corresponded to the Tenth Civil District. It has been enlarged twice, taking in areas of the Third Civil District.
