About The Teacher

I am married and have two grown boys. I was an art major the first time around and worked in the advertising industry as a graphic designer for several years in Atlanta. After moving back to Lebanon, I became an educational assistant at Byars Dowdy. That was it! I fell in love with what I was doing. I decided to go back to school and received my B.S. in Elementary Education from Cumberland University. The rest is history! I love teaching and know this is the place for me.

***I started school at Byars Dowdy, as a second grader, the first year it opened and went here through sixth grade. In fact, Mrs. Dowdy (the school was partially named after her husband) was my third grade teacher. My children attended BD from kindergarten - fourth grade. Now I teach here! What a great
place to be!

Mission For The Class

To help the children appreciate who they are and know that they can do anything they set their mind to, value their education, and become life long learners.

We are a team! Our TEAM TRIANGLE includes the student, the family, and the teacher. We are all in this together to give the best we can to our children.
