Get Moving Byars Dowdy! To help get children moving and increase their physical activity, the Lebanon Special School District has started a new program where children walk/run the track a couple of laps each day. The students keep up with their laps and chart their distance. In the late spring, all students accumulating 25 + miles will earn a field trip to Don Fox Park.

Funding Byars Dowdy Byars Dowdy is always seeking to improve the quality of your child's education. Here are some simple ways you can help with this ongoing endeavor. 1. Recycle your newspapers/paper at our school 2. Cut out and send in Box Tops for Education 3. Send in your empty ink cartridges/toner cartridges These are all ways our school can earn extra money. If everyone participates, we can raise thousands of dollars for our school with these little steps. In addition, by recycling, we are saving a little piece of our Earth! |
School Banking Is Back!
Our first school bank day was Friday, August 24. Many children at Byars Dowdy lined up to make deposits in their accounts and to open new accounts. This is a great program provided by Wilson Bank & Trust that encourages students to save money! The next school bank day will be Friday, September 7. Your child can open an account with a $5.00 deposit. Bank dates to remember this semester: Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 2, 16, 30, and Dec. 14. |

The Heat Is On! Due to the 100+ degree weather, children are being provided with ice-cold water before boarding the bus to head home each afternoon. Thanks to Wilson Bank & Trust, Wal-Mart, and the Lebanon Special School District for providing the water to ensure the safety of our students! Thanks to Mrs. Rogers and Mr. McTee for helping with water distribution at our school! |
